As metal started to spawn endless subgenres in the 80s and 90s, Texan cowboy metalheads keep things simple: loud, fast, angry. This was metal to mosh and fight to and could appeal to alternative fans who liked the more metal-ish Seattle bands like Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. The cover picture of a dude being punched in the effin' face sums it up pretty well. Along with "Far Beyond Driven," their signature album.
