Ezra C. Hutchins writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to a meeting at the Prudential committee of the Bowdoin Street Congregational Society, held on April 24th 1843. He writes that a request by the Boston female anti-slavery society to use the Bowdoin Street meeting house for the delivery of a lecture by Wendell Phillips has been "duly considered." He writes that "it is inexpedient to comply with said request."
