IMHO a thoughtful movie that lets Nick Nolte do what he does - be the guy who realizes what a mess he's made even as he rumbles along. I know little of baseball or high school reunions, but hung in with the 2 main characters because I came to care about how it would all turn out. No tidy bow, but there was one sweet & realistic scene with an old flame.
What can I say? I'm fond of Nick. Also Tim Hutton, but he only had about 1/2 a role to work with.

Needed captions for the hard of hearing. A bit of a moving story, probably not enough action for young people, too touchy feely maybe. But I'm an old guy and a lot of things about it hit home for me.

The premise is a bit unlikely, but the actors do well. There are also no set-pieces, one-liners or explosive confrontations, but there are some truths. It does insist that life isn't perfect. worth giving it a watch, as it will keep you entertained.
