Decided to quit this one after a few chapters. It is a light read but the story teller was a nasty piece of work....vicious.

I so didn't understand this book. I do feel this is a reflection on me & not on the author. I've wanted to read it for a very long time & am glad I have.
I don't think Hollywood movies should ever be compared to books. I always treat them as something that has nothing to do with the other.I so didn't understand this book. I do feel this is a reflection on me & not on the author. I've wanted to read it for a very long time & am glad I have.

I liked this book. A story of a young native American girl living on a farm with her sad widowed father. Kit is lonely & when a new neighbour moves in next door she is drawn to the woman. They become friends & they watch out for each other. A nasty small minded neighbour misinterprets their friendship & spreads stories that end up having a tragic outcome.
Kit ends up in a 'religious' boarding school. There she has her culture abused, her history abused, her beliefs & body abused.
Sadly it's another story in Americas' history that is based in truth.I liked this book. A story of a young native American girl living on a farm with her sad widowed father. I was probably half way through this book when I realized it was not interesting. It just felt as if it was going around in a circle, things being repeated but not moving forward by much. Decided to stop.

Really enjoyable read. Good main character, even with bow legs. The plot is over the top but easy to follow & full of action.
The main character (Dez Limerick) is a well trained man from the UK somewhere. He starts by saving a damsel in distress in America & becomes entangled in an attempt to develop a 51st state in the US.
The only fault I found was the way he spoke. He had an unclear accent which was acceptable but conversations were full of idioms that seem to pop up far more in his speech than it does in the real non fiction folks. Still thought he was great.Really enjoyable read. Good main character, even with bow legs. The plot is over the top but easy to follow & full of action.

I'm annoyed with myself that I read this book. It was about a young woman who took a job with an influencer. She was desperate for a job & didn't want to move back with her parents. She even moved states. After that it was a book full of self centered, manipulating people who lied all the time. Yuck!!I'm annoyed with myself that I read this book. I was a bit disappointed with Taylor Moores 2nd book in the series. I thought Garrett Kohl would have grown a bit more, having got a new son & a new girlfriend, I thought he might have opened up a bit more. I also found it hard to follow so many people especially at the climax of the story, it would have been easier following it from Kohls view I think.I was a bit disappointed with Taylor Moores 2nd book in the series. Didn't like this in the beginning so I stopped reading it. No speech bubbles & no clear indication of thoughts as opposed to speaking. I only meet Mr Lloyd who appeared to be a bit of a bore.

Couldn't get in to this book. The blurb sounded like my kind of story but once I started I found some lines were spoken in another language without explanation of what was said. There were no speech bubbles either. I don't normally get bothered by that but this time it wasn't very clear weather it was speaking or just another sentence.Couldn't get in to this book. Very enjoyable book. Bree is an out going, adventurous person, who knows she's dying. Jodie is her younger sister & she is shy & anxious. Bree arranges to get Jodie to finish Brees last few items on her bucket list, that she couldn't get finished in exchange for the family being able to pay off the medical bills.
Jodie discovered a lot about herself on this journey. It was a story of grief but a good story about family & love also.Very enjoyable book. I found this story to tough to get into. I can see reservation life is hard at times, so little money so few jobs etc. I stopped reading early on. Louise is a good writer, one of few who portray the modern native American but I don't always get caught up in her stories, when it clicks it's great. I didn't realize that I had already read this one, so I reread it. This connected Reacher back to his military days in a loose way. There is a sharp shooter with a vendetta out there & Jack Reacher is possibly the best person to find him.
Now they have made Reacher into a TV series I was inclined to think about how this story would translate into film. This one might be hard, it's a lot of being inside Reacher's head & not full of action. A lot of thinking about guns & their impact & their reactions as well as descriptions of houses & punches but not verbal.
Still a good story.I didn't realize that I had already read this one, so I reread it. This connected Reacher back to his military days in a loose way. There is a sharp shooter with a vendetta out there & Jack Reacher is possibly the best person to find him.

A bit of an oddball story. A girl bought up in a loveless home with a mentally ill mother. She has the ability to read peoples auras & moods & it frightens her. This story had a lot of repetitiveness in it, repeats of the last page so it became something that I started skimming, although I think the last few chapters started to become more sensible & saved the book some what.A bit of an oddball story. This was an ok read. I've read similar throughout my reading life. This was about a woman trained as a nurse who in her 1st job she discovers that 2 of her patients had their tubes tied at the ages of 11 & 13yrs old. It's also about the court case that came from that event.

II like the combination of Bosch & Ballard but maybe not so much when they are working in the same unit & one of them is the boss of the other.
They are both working on a cold case, looking for a psycho from years ago who seems to be still around, still killing as he goes along. Interesting turn in who the killer turns out to be.II like the combination of Bosch & Ballard but maybe not so much when they are working in the same unit & one of them is the boss of the other.

This is a wonderful version of the traditional fairy tale. It's my favourite so far. I love reading stories in rhyme out loud to young children & Mr Sharratt does that well. While the story itself is true to the traditional, Mr Sharratts' dry sense of homour comes through eg; "And as they kiss their mum goodbye she says be sure to phone."

I enjoy Eddie Flynn & his court cases. This time he is defending a woman accused of being an accomplice to her husbands murder spree. Her husband is being called The Sandman.

I agree with some of what the previous reader has said. It did feel closer to the 1st books of Stephanie Plum. It doesn't still have the laugh out loud moments like them, although I'm wondering if it is just not having the slap stick so much but the truth is the slap stick got old.
This time Stephanie is trying to find Connie, from the office & also a coin connected to Connie's abduction. The usual are all there, Morelli, Grandma Mazur, Lula & Ranger.I agree with some of what the previous reader has said. It did feel closer to the 1st books of Stephanie Plum.
